Job summary

Midas automotive technicians wanted for our full-service Saskatoon facility. You’ll diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of vehicles, sometimes working alone and other times with peers to ensure quality service.

Applicants should hold a Provincial Certificate of Qualification and a valid driver’s license; experience with lifts, tire equipment, alignment machines, and diagnostic tools is expected. We offer employee discounts, paid time off, parental leave, and advancement opportunities.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to repair vehicles independently.
• Experience with brakes, exhaust, suspension, tires and engine diagnostics.
• Proven high personal productivity.
• Commitment to safety and environmental standards for repair facilities.
• Experience using shop equipment such as lifts, tire changing equipment, alignment machines and diagnostic tools.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair vehicles using state-of-the-art computer systems.
• Perform tire services and wheel alignment.
• Repair heating and air conditioning systems.
• Service steering, suspension, belts and hoses.
• Inspect radiators and cooling systems.
• Test batteries, starting and charging systems.
• Repair brakes and exhaust components.
• Perform oil changes and routine maintenance.
• Read and interpret diagnostic trouble codes using tools.
• Conduct visual safety and courtesy inspections.

We are looking for automotive technicians that are able to work independently of others, while also being able to work collaboratively at times with peers. We have a full-service facility and we are looking for automotive technicians to help us create an environment of success!

Responsibilities

As a Midas automotive technician, you’ll be exposed to and have responsibility for performing a wide range of diagnostics, repairs and maintenance, including:

• Diagnostics using state-of-the-art computer systems
• Tires and tire repair
• Car heating and air conditioning
• Steering and suspension
• Belts and hoses
• Radiator and engine cooling systems
• Batteries, starting and charging
• Steering and suspension
• Brake repair
• Oil services
• Check engine light
• Mufflers and exhaust services
• Visual safety and courtesy inspections

Qualifications

• Ability to repair vehicles independently, while also having experience working well in a team environment
• Knowledge in automotive brakes, exhaust, suspension, tires & engine diagnostics
• Track record of high personal productivity
• Knowledge of, and adherence to, safety and environmental standards for repair facilities
• Experience using shop equipment such as lifts, tire changing equipment, alignment machines and diagnostic tools
• Provincial Certificate of Qualification
• Valid driver’s license
• Own tools/equipment (diagnostic scanner / tools preferred also)
• Able to service both import and domestic vehicles
