Job summary

Celco, a leading automation solutions provider in Winnipeg, seeks a Testing Technician to verify and troubleshoot custom industrial electrical control panels. You will ensure compliance with customer specs, document FAT results, and collaborate with engineering and production teams to deliver high-quality control systems.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology.
• 'M' license, Journeyperson Electrician or equivalent certification would be an asset.
• Minimum 2 years' experience with electrical controls.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• On-site work environment.

Responsibilities

• Verify and test fabricated control panels to ensure adherence to design (PLCs, motor controls, control circuits, instrumentation).
• Complete FAT documentation.
• Correct mistakes or make minor alterations to tested panels.
• Interpret customer requirements, drawings, and specifications.
• Mark up design drawings to match tested/verified panels.
• Manage shop testing, assembly, and safety equipment; maintain certifications.
• Assist shop personnel with panel assembly as required.
• Occasional field work may be required.
• Other duties as assigned.
