Job summary
INNIO is seeking a Test Facilities Specialist Technician in Welland to support the Maintenance Operating System and Test Cells, ensuring top-quality engine components. You will assist electricians and technicians, handle electrical design, wiring, testing, and commissioning, and participate in plant outages and diagnostics.
The role requires a 3-year engineering technology diploma in electronics/automation and 3+ years in manufacturing with PLC/CNC exposure.
Qualifications
- Diploma in Electronics or Automation engineering technology.
- 3+ years in manufacturing focusing on automation, PLC, CNC, SCADA, HMI and servo systems.
- Experience programming/troubleshooting PLCs.
Responsibilities
- Assist Plant Electricians and Production Technicians for Test Cells.
- Design, wire, test, and commission electrical controls and machinery.
- Perform routine electrical maintenance and complex repairs on plant equipment.
- Document repairs in the CMMS and support plant connectivity.
- Coordinate with external service providers for repairs and overhauls.
