Job summary

DuroByte is seeking an experienced Automation Program Manager to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of custom industrial automation projects. The role coordinates multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.

You will oversee the full lifecycle from sales handoff to closeout and maintain strong customer relationships. Ideal candidates have 3+ years in industrial automation and experience with PLCs, robotics, HMIs, and vision

Qualifications

• 3+ years in industrial automation including programme or project management.
• Experience managing multiple projects with cross-functional technical teams.
• Ability to manage projects within budget and schedule constraints.
• Experience in direct customer discussions and negotiations.
• Strong understanding of automation systems: PLCs, robotics, HMIs, vision, controls.
• Knowledge of project management principles, methods, and techniques.
• Proficient with Microsoft Project, Office and Excel.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution and delivery of custom automation projects across the full lifecycle.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams across mechanical/electrical design, controls, robotics, software, procurement, manufacturing and commissioning.
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, milestones and resource plans.
• Monitor budgets and align projects with financial targets and schedules.
• Lead weekly project meetings and document decisions and action items.
• Maintain communication with customers, provide updates and manage scope changes.
• Ensure complete project documentation and compliance with customer requirements.
• Promote programme management standards and best practices.
