Job summary

BuzzClan is seeking a Senior Ansible Automation Engineer to lead enterprise automation across Windows and Linux infrastructure. This hands-on role focuses on scalable automation solutions, reducing manual operations, and enhancing security, compliance, and efficiency.

The position is contract-based with a remote-friendly schedule (Toronto preference). You will design and implement playbooks, automate server provisioning, patching, and integration with ServiceNow and monitoring tools,

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on Ansible Automation in production environments.
• 7+ years of Windows Server Administration (2012/2019/2022).
• 7+ years of PowerShell scripting (Windows automation).
• 7+ years of Bash/Shell scripting (Linux automation).
• 7+ years of Enterprise Linux Administration (RHEL, Ubuntu, or equivalent).
• Strong experience with Git, YAML, and Infrastructure Automation.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade Ansible playbooks, roles, and automation frameworks.
• Automate server provisioning, configuration management, patching, compliance, and operational workflows.
• Implement automated patch lifecycle management using SCCM APIs, WSUS, ADR, and PowerShell.
• Build approval-based deployment pipelines across Dev, Test, UAT, and Production environments.
• Integrate automation with enterprise monitoring tools and ServiceNow using REST APIs.
• Administer and support Windows Server and Enterprise Linux environments.
• Implement configuration enforcement, security hardening, and automated remediation.
• Collaborate with Infrastructure, Security, and Operations teams to drive automation-first practices.
• Mentor technical teams and promote enterprise automation standards.
