Job summary

Insight Global is recruiting a Solution Specialist II to join a Vancouver, BC-based team. You will design, implement, and support business and infrastructure systems in a multi-cloud environment, leveraging Windows and Linux administration, AWS, and Azure platforms.

You will provide technical consulting, architecture design, and operational direction to drive infrastructure innovation and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of IT experience including 4+ years of Windows/Linux system administration.
• 3+ years hands-on AWS systems administration or engineering.
• Expertise in Windows System Administration: AD, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP.
• Proficiency with VMware, Cisco UCS, NetApp and networking/security best practices.
• Experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, IAM) and Azure/O365 (Conditional Access, Identity)
• IaC with Terraform and Ansible.
• Strong scripting/automation with PowerShell and Python.
• Knowledge of SLAs and OLAs.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and support redundant systems, disaster recovery policies, and data archiving to protect assets.
• Automate workloads in cloud environments using AWS, Azure, and scripting languages.
• Implement and maintain security, identity, and access management including AWS IAM and Azure SSO.
• Troubleshoot complex incidents across all environments ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
• Oversee multi-tier architectures including load balancers, web/app servers, databases, and networking.
• Plan, deploy, and maintain Azure/AWS systems to meet operational needs.
• Collaborate to advocate design strategies leveraging emerging technologies.
• Contribute to CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code initiatives.
• Research new technologies to support procurement and development efforts.
• Develop and maintain high-quality documentation for solutions and processes.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Insight Global is seeking a Solution Specialist II to join a dynamic team supporting an employer in Vancouver, BC. The successful candidate will take a lead role in designing, implementing, and supporting business and infrastructure systems in a multi cloud environment. Leveraging experience in Windows and Linux system administration, AWS, and Azure platforms, you will provide technical consulting, design architecture, and operational direction to drive infrastructure innovation and operational excellence.

In this role you will contribute to automation initiatives, security and identity management, and multi-tier architecture development. You'll also play a critical role in troubleshooting cmplex technical issues, designing disaster recovery solutions, and researching new technologies to ensure infrastructure aligns with best practices and operational needs.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Design, build, and support redundant systems, disaster recovery policies, and data archiving solutions to protect data assets.
• Manage and automate workloads in cloud environments, utilizing AWS cloud technologies and scripting languages such as PowerShell and Python.
• Implement and maintain security, identity, and access management solutions, including AWS IAM and Azure SSO.

• Oversee and support multi-tier architectures, including load balancers, caching, web servers, application servers, databases, and networking.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to advocate for design strategies that leverage emerging technologies, frameworks, and processes.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code (IAC) implementations.
• Conduct research and provide recommendations on new technologies and standards to support procurement and development efforts.
• Develop and maintain high-quality documentation to ensure clear communication of technical solutions and processes.
