Job summary

Excellence Auto Collision - Midwest is seeking an Autobody Technician 310B to repair and restore vehicles damaged in accidents. You will inspect damage, remove and replace parts, refinish surfaces, and ensure repairs meet safety and quality standards.

The successful candidate will be a 310B Licensed Journeyman Body Technician with related post-secondary training, knowledge of repair and refinishing processes, and the ability to work efficiently with vendor materials.

Qualifications

• 310B licensed journeyman body technician required.
• Post-secondary training in autobody repair or related program required.
• Knowledge of manufacturers' repair/refinishing processes and adherence to processes.
• Ability to use selected vendor materials efficiently and cost-effectively.
• I-CAR certification training is an asset.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and a safe driving history.

Responsibilities

• Review damage reports, prepare and review repair cost estimates and plan work to be performed.
• Perform quality repairs on a variety of vehicles.
• Mask and tape, prime and paint body surfaces, using tools such as paint spray guns and motorized sanders.
• Inspect repaired vehicles for proper completion of work, dimensional accuracy, and overall appearance of paint job.

Your area of focus.

The Autobody Technician 310B is responsible for repairing and restoring vehicles that have been damaged in accidents or collisions. This includes inspecting and evaluating damage, removing and replacing damaged parts, repairing dents, refinishing surfaces, and ensuring all repairs meet safety and quality standards.
