Job summary

Excellence Auto Collision - Midwest is hiring a full-time Autobody Technician 310B in Toronto, ON. You will inspect damage, prepare estimates, and perform repairs to restore vehicles to high safety and cosmetic standards.

Qualified candidates will have a 310B journeyman license, related post-secondary training, and knowledge of repair and refinishing processes. I-CAR certification is a plus; a valid driver’s license and clean driving history are required.

Qualifications

• Licensed 310B journeyman body technician required.
• Related post-secondary program or training course completed.
• Knowledge of repair/refinish processes and adherence to procedures.
• Ability to use manufacturer-supplied materials efficiently and cost-effectively.
• ICAR certification training is an asset.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving history.

Responsibilities

• Review damage reports and repair cost estimates; plan work.
• Perform quality repairs on a variety of vehicles.
• Mask, prime and paint surfaces using spray guns and sanders.
• Inspect finished work for safety, alignment and paint quality.

Your area of focus.

The Autobody Technician 310B is responsible for repairing and restoring vehicles that have been damaged in accidents or collisions. This includes inspecting and evaluating damage, removing and replacing damaged parts, repairing dents, refinishing surfaces, and ensuring all repairs meet safety and quality standards.

What drives your day-to-day?

• Review damage reports, prepare and review repair cost estimates and plan work to be performed
• Perform quality repairs on a variety of vehicles
• Mask and tape, prime and paint body surfaces, using tools such as paint spray guns and motorized sanders
• Inspect repaired vehicles for proper completion of work, dimensional accuracy, and overall appearance of paint job

What are the must-haves…

• 310B Licensed Journeyman Body Technician
• Completion of a related post-secondary program and or training courses
• Knowledge of manufacturers' repair/refinishing processes & adherence to processes
• Ability to use selected vendor materials efficiently and cost-effectively
• I-CAR certification training and I-CAR certification would be considered assets
• Must possess a valid driver's license and a safe driving history
