Job summary

Craftsman Collision is seeking a full-time Autobody Technician at our Metrotown location in Burnaby, BC. You will review damage reports, plan repairs, and work with state-of-the-art equipment in a collaborative team.

Requires at least 4 years of autobody experience, a valid Class 5 license, and English proficiency. Red Seal or equivalent experience preferred. Compensation ranges CAD 30–35 per hour, with performance bonuses and relocation/signing bonuses available.

• Legal to work in Canada.
• Proficiency in English language.

Responsibilities

• Review damage reports and plan repairs.
• Replace front end components, doors, frames and related parts.
• File, grind and sand body surfaces for repairs.
• Hammer out dents and buckles using blocks and hammers.
• Inspect repaired vehicles and test drive for proper handling.
• Maintain a clean and safe workspace.
• Work with modern equipment and state-of-the-art tools.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Review damage report and estimates of repair cost and plan work to be performed
• Clean and maintain work space
• Replace front end components, body components, doors and frame and underbody components
• File, grind and sand body surfaces to be repaired
• Hammer out dents, buckles and defects using blocks and hammers
• Remove damaged fenders, panels and grills and bolt or weld replacement parts into place
• Repair or replace interior components
• Inspect repaired vehicles and test drive vehicles for proper handling
• Straighten bent frames using frame and underbody pulling and anchoring equipment
