Job summary

BCAA in Nanaimo is hiring a Regular Full-Time Trainee Apprentice Automotive Technician to join the Auto Service Centre team. You will diagnose, repair and service Members' vehicles to meet high safety and performance standards while supporting a welcoming, member-focused service culture.

The role requires a high school diploma or Automotive Foundation training, at least six months of automotive experience, ability to lift 70 lbs, and a clean BC driver's license; you will perform oil and tire

Qualifications

High school diploma and completion of an Automotive Foundation program preferred.
Minimum of six months of technical training and experience in an auto repair facility.
Must be able to lift 70 lbs (32 kg) and stand for long periods.
Clean BC Driver License Class 7 or better.
Proficient with MS Outlook.

Responsibilities

Complete repairs to meet high safety, performance and service standards.
Perform oil changes, tire changes and basic automotive repairs.
Maintain a clean, safe work environment and ensure equipment is in good condition.
Assist other Technicians and support team as needed.
Achieve productivity goals while maintaining Member satisfaction.
