• Use insurance portal to endorse and complete a policy.
• Write a new homeowner policy.
• Service a 350K personal lines book.
• Quote at least 40 new home policies per year.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

• This position processes a variety of personal lines policies and intricate insurance contracts related to residential homes and personal belongings.
• This position processes basic insurance transaction and auto policies.
• Processes personal lines policies and contracts often including items such as residential and recreational property, boats and other personal pleasure craft, and jewelry under the supervision of a more senior licensed broker.
• Identifies client needs and provides information on varying insurance packages such as risk coverage, benefits and other policy features best suited to meet the client's needs; works with clients to manage and reduce their risk.
• Recommends and implements a client’s insurance coverage, premiums and collects payment; promotes Brio Insurance products and services.
• Responds to emergencies and assists clients with their claims.
• Able to utilize the Insurance portal to endorse and complete a policy
• Able to write a new home owner policy
• Service a 350K Personal lines book (using Manager discretion).
• Quote a minimum of 40 new home policies a year, as per management discretion
• Support the achievement of department and organizational goals as well as actively participates in regular staff meetings.
• Maintain open communication and cooperation with other staff to ensure a friendly and efficient work environment.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of and adhere to organizational policies and procedures on risk management, confidentiality, security and fraud prevention.

Essential Qualifications

• Completed Level 1 Brokers Insurance license
• Working towards completing all MPI courses
• General understanding of MPI/SMI transactions
• MPI Lead must complete all requirements to hold the KAP position, if required by branch
• Demonstrated desire to serve others in a friendly and professional manner
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
• Attention to detail with high degree of accuracy
• Ability to work in fast-paced environment and perform well under pressure
• Ability to prioritize using sound judgment to make timely and effective decisions
• Knowledge of Brio Insurance products and services
• Ability to follow standardized policies and procedures
• Knowledge of risk management within the insurance industry
• Proficient computer skills

Employee Sub-Type Regular Starting Salary $41,505.00 Salary Band $41,505.00 - $50,769.00 In most situations, candidates will be offered the starting salary for the position. In exceptional circumstances, and at the organization’s discretion, an offer may be made above the stated minimum based on factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, internal equity and external compensation factors. When underfilling a position, the salary offered may be in a lower salary band.
