Job summary

Canusa Automotive Warehousing Inc. seeks an Auto Parts Store Counterperson in St. Thomas for full‑time, permanent employment. You will provide expert customer service, process orders, and handle parts in a fast‑paced shop environment. 40–44 hours weekly, Monday–Friday with alternating Saturdays.

Experience with automotive aftermarket parts, a valid G license, and basic computer skills are required. A comprehensive benefits package accompanies permanent full‑time status.

Qualifications

  • Automotive aftermarket parts knowledge/experience required.
  • G Driver’s license with clean 3‑year abstract preferred.
  • Basic computer skills including MS Office; online databases ok.
  • Basic mathematical skills and understanding of units of measurement.
  • Ability to sort items alphanumerically.

Responsibilities

  • Provide quality customer service in-person and over the phone using automotive knowledge and catalogues.
  • Process orders and assist customers with parts selection and inquiries.
  • Pick, pack, ship, receive, stock and organize auto parts; ensure accurate paperwork.
  • Deliver parts to customers and maintain store appearance and cleanliness.
  • Support management with other duties as required.

Compensation: Wage range starting at $20.00 per hour, may be increased based on experience , plus a comprehensive benefits package.
Hours:
  • 40 to 44 hours per week
  • Monday to Friday, alternating Saturdays

Position Summary

The primary objective of this role is to provide professional customer service and process orders using automotive knowledge, company systems and parts catalogues. The individual will also pick, pack, ship, receive, stock, and organize automotive parts, and effectively deliver automotive parts to customers. Effective use of company resources and tools is integral to this role, as is meeting and setting customer service goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide quality customer service and assist with customer inquiries both in-person and over the phone using automotive knowledge, the Company database, and the parts catalogue
  • Answer inbound calls and ensure all calls are answered in a professional manner
  • Conduct follow‑up calls to customers as necessary
  • Efficiently and safely load auto parts into delivery vehicles
  • Efficiently deliver parts, being mindful of customer requests
  • Complete necessary paperwork (e.g. warranty forms) in an accurate manner
  • Maintain overall store appearance by cleaning and organizing on a regular basis
  • Pick, pack, ship, receive, stock, and organize auto parts when necessary
  • Other reasonable duties as assigned by the management team
Key Requirements and Experiences
  • Automotive aftermarket parts knowledge/experience (customer service, sales, repair) required
  • A valid G Driver’s license and clean 3‑year abstract preferred
  • Basic computer skills (e.g. ability to use and navigate Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel, online database and web‑based training)
  • Basic mathematical skills and understanding of basic units of measurement
  • Ability to sort items alphanumerically

Physical Demands and Work Environment
  • Ability to lift and move 10 lbs. (4.5 kg) to 50 lbs. (22.7 kg) safely and consistently
