Job summary

Canusa/APC in Brampton, ON is seeking an Auto Parts Store Experienced Counterperson to deliver friendly, expert customer service and process orders using our parts catalogues and company systems.

You will pick, receive, stock and ship auto parts, support customers in person and over the phone, and contribute to a collaborative team focused on reliability and growth. This full-time role offers 40–44 hours weekly with a wage of $22–$25 per hour and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

  • Automotive aftermarket parts experience (customer service, sales, repair) required.
  • Customer service experience required.
  • A valid G Driver’s license and clean 3-year abstract preferred.
  • Basic computer skills (Word, Excel) and general IT literacy.
  • Ability to sort items alphanumerically.

Responsibilities

  • Provide quality customer service and assist with inquiries in-person and over the phone using automotive knowledge and parts catalogue.
  • Answer inbound calls and follow up with customers as necessary.
  • Complete necessary paperwork (e.g. warranty forms) accurately.
  • Maintain store appearance by cleaning and organizing regularly.
  • Pick, receive, ship, stock, organize, and deliver auto parts orders as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Compensation: Wage range of $22.00 - $25.00 per hour depending on experience, plus comprehensive group benefits

Hours:

  • 40 to 44 hours/week
  • Monday to Friday
  • Alternating Saturdays

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide quality customer service and assist with customer inquiries both in-person and over the phone using automotive knowledge, the company database, and parts catalogue
  • Answer inbound calls and ensure all calls are answered in a professional manner, and make follow-up calls to customers as necessary
  • Complete necessary paperwork (e.g. warranty forms) in an accurate manner
  • Maintain overall store appearance by cleaning and organizing on a regular basis
  • Pick, receive, ship, stock, organize, and deliver auto parts orders when necessary
  • Other reasonable duties as assigned by the management team

Key Requirements and Experiences

  • Automotive aftermarket parts experience (customer service, sales, repair) required
  • Customer service experience required
  • A valid G Driver’s license and clean 3-year abstract preferred
  • Basic computer skills (e.g. ability to use and navigate Microsoft Office Suite including Word and Excel, online database and web-based training)
  • Basic mathematical skills and understanding of basic units of measurement
  • Ability to sort items alphanumerically

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to reliably work 40 to 44 hours per week
  • Ability to lift and move 10 lbs. (4.5 kg) to 50 lbs. (22.7 kg) safely and consistently
  • Ability to walk, stand, sit, climb, balance, twist, lift, and bend on a regular basis
