Job summary

Boyd Autobody & Glass is seeking an Auto Body Apprentice to grow with our team in Western and Central Canada. You will shadow a Licensed Auto Body Technician, repair minor damage, and help the shop meet quality standards and KPIs in a dynamic environment.

The role requires welding experience (MIG/TIG), a High School Diploma or equivalent, completion of an Auto Body Repair program, at least 1 year of Auto Body Technician experience, own toolbox, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of Post-Secondary Education in an Auto Body Repair Program.
• Minimum 1 year Auto Body Technician experience.
• Welding experience (MIG, TIG welding).
• Own toolbox and valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
• Repairs vehicles as per insurance guidelines and our quality standards.
• Inspect and disassemble the vehicle to determine all damages at the beginning of the repair.
• Repair minor damage to vehicle’s body panels.
• Repair or replace interior and exterior parts, electrical components and vehicle accessories.
• Reassemble vehicle once repairs are complete.
• Inspect completed work to ensure the repair is up to quality standards.
• Shadow a Licensed Auto Body Technician to perform repairs.
• Actively pursues learning opportunities and applies newly gained knowledge to tasks, contributing to high-quality work and continuous improvement.
