Job summary

Boyd Autobody & Glass is seeking an Auto Body Apprentice in Canada who can produce 50–100hrs bi-weekly and shadow a Licensed Auto Body Technician to learn on the job.

You will work with the team to repair minor vehicle damage, meet KPI targets, and contribute to a professional environment with ongoing training and development. A valid driver's license and own toolbox are required.

Qualifications

• Welding experience (MIG, TIG welding).
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of Post-Secondary Education in an Auto Body Repair Program.
• Minimum 1 year Auto Body Technician experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure consistent execution of WOW (Wow Operating Way) plan.
• Repairs vehicles as per insurance guidelines and our quality standards.
• Inspect and disassemble the vehicle to determine all damages at the beginning of the repair.
• Repair minor damage to vehicle’s body panels.
• Repair or replace interior and exterior parts, electrical components and vehicle accessories.
• Reassemble vehicle once repairs are complete.
• Inspect completed work to ensure the repair is up to quality standards.
• Shadow a Licensed Auto Body Technician to perform repairs.
• Actively pursues learning opportunities and applies newly gained knowledge to tasks, contributing to high‑quality work and continuous improvement.

We are looking for an experienced apprentice who can produce 50-100hrs bi-weekly.

The Auto Body Apprentice repairs minor vehicle damage while shadowing a licensed Auto Body Technician. The Auto Body Apprentice works with all team members in achieving the repair facilities' KPIs.

Minimum Education and/or Experience Required for the Job

• Frequently required to bend, crouch, reach, handle tools and lift approximately 50 lbs.

Compensation Details

Hourly:

$25 - $27 per hour

Future flat rate opportunities will be available

Compensation is commensurate with skill, education and experience.
