Job summary

Johnston Meier Insurance Agencies Group is seeking an Auto & Personal Lines Advisor for our College Heights office in Prince George to manage an existing book of business and coordinate changes to client policies across insurance products.

The ideal candidate will hold a General Insurance Level 2 License (or Level 1 with willingness to learn), and have at least one year of insurance office experience. Apply via jmins.com/careers for more details.

Qualifications

• Level 2 Insurance License (or Level 1 plus training to Level 2) required.
• ICBC Autoplan experience is preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with clients and underwriters.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Proficient in Word and Excel; computer literate.

Responsibilities

• Customer Service
• Process ICBC Autoplan quotations, renewals, and policies.
• Provide new quotes on all Personal Lines types of business
• Provide renewal terms and optional coverage
• Provide excellent customer service to our clients
• Offer additional products to provide Complete Customer Portfolios
• Keep detailed notes on our Computer System at all times (Paperless Environment)
• Update evaluators when necessary
• Keep abeyances updated and current
• Accounts Receivable

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required

• Level 2 Insurance License (or Level 1 General Insurance License and willing to be trained and achieve a Level 2 General Insurance License)
• ICBC Autoplan experience.
• Be willing to be trained and with the intention for a level 2 license.
• Strong communication skills to apply to underwriters, customers, and team members
• Strong organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Strong customer service
• Flexible in job duties and/or hours as necessary
• Company Portal knowledge is an asset
• Computer skills including working knowledge with Word & Excel
