Job summary

CIBC is seeking an Internal Audit Intern to deliver core audit services as part of a multi-skilled team. You will conduct risk-focused audits, identify internal control weaknesses, and advise on efficiency opportunities.

The role requires strong Excel skills, potential VBA knowledge, and interest in audit, data, and technology risk. You will collaborate with clients and balance tasks from planning to execution during a 4-month term.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in a relevant field such as quantitative disciplines, data science, artificial intelligence, business administration, MBA, or other related areas.
• Advanced Excel skills are required; knowledge of VBA is a plus.
• Programming experience in Python is considered a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver core audit services as part of a multi-skilled audit team.
• Perform risk-focused audits of various business processes and operations.
• Identify internal control weaknesses and advise on efficiency and effectiveness improvements.
• Prepare concise, accurate documents and balance project management with unanticipated issues.
