Job Summary

The Recreation, Cultural and Facility Services department is responsible for building a healthy, inclusive, and vibrant City, ensuring communities, residents, and visitors have access to recreation and cultural programs, events, and services. The department oversees Buildings and Facilities Management for improved service delivery, aiming to provide the best client experience in City facilities. You will supervise and assist customers in using a facility or site on behalf of the City of Ottawa.

Education And Experience

Completion of Grade 10

Experience working with the public and providing customer service

Certifications and Licences
  • Current Standard First Aid, CPR, and/or AED certificates
  • AODA Customer Service/IASR Training
Knowledge
  • Develops knowledge of the Department’s facilities, programs, and policies
  • Knowledge of corporate computer software is an asset
  • Leadership training is an asset
Competencies, Skills, and Abilities
  • Effective decision-making and judgment
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong communication and customer service skills; demonstrated leadership
