Job summary

BDO Canada is seeking Co-op or Intern Students to join the Assurance & Accounting team in September 2027 for either a 4-month or 8-month term. The role involves applying accounting knowledge to real projects, preparing working papers and financial statements, and gathering evidence for engagements.

You will build client relationships, communicate progress, and collaborate with team members in a supportive, learning-focused environment. Compensation reflects a 54k–64k CAD annual range.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing accounting degree/diploma.
• Desire to provide outstanding client service and a commitment to teamwork.
• Proven leadership skill and ability to take initiative; strong problem solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently utilize technical knowledge from courses to carry out work projects and assignments.
• Prepare and complete working papers, financial statements, and notice to reader engagements per regulatory standards.
• Gather evidence for Assurance and Accounting engagements.
• Build positive working relationships with clients and respond to requests and suggestions.
• Effectively communicate with team members regarding progress updates and issues.
