BDO Canada in the GTA is seeking co-op or intern students to join the Assurance & Accounting team starting January 2028 for 4- or 8-month terms. Responsibilities include preparing working papers, financial statements, and gathering evidence for engagements, while building strong client relationships.

You are pursuing an accounting degree/diploma and bring leadership, problem solving, and teamwork to deliver high-quality service aligned with BDO's values.

Qualifications

• Currently working towards a degree/diploma, focused in accounting.
• Desire to provide outstanding client service and a commitment to teamwork.
• Proven leadership skill and initiative to seek understanding.
• Strong problem solving, analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently utilize technical knowledge from courses to carry out work projects and assignments.
• Prepare and complete working papers, financial statements, and notice to reader engagements per regulatory standards.
• Gather evidence for Assurance and Accounting engagements.
• Build positive working relationships with clients and effectively respond to requests and suggestions.
• Effectively communicate with team members regarding progress updates and issues on an ongoing basis.
