Job summary

UL Standards & Engagement is seeking an Associate Standards Program Manager to support the Standards Delivery & Innovation Program. This hybrid role can be based in Ottawa, Canada, Evanston, IL, or Raleigh-Durham, NC, and focuses on managing the full lifecycle of standards development and maintaining efficient processes.

You will drive integration of safety standards, guide a standards team, build relationships with internal stakeholders, and help expand the program through strategic

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Minimum of 8 years of related work experience.
• PMP or a relevant project management certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of the standards development process, identifying needs and publishing standards.
• Drive integration of safety standards into relevant end-product and service standards.
• Apply knowledge in operational excellence, process improvement, and resource optimization.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and communicate changes through forums.
• Scope end-to-end project plans, troubleshoot issues, and manage risks.
• Communicate program scope and outcomes to professional audiences in the technical field.
• Lead, coach, and train team members to support standards activities.
• Participate in technical committees and chair for relevant bodies.
• Identify opportunities for program expansion and strategic direction.
• Maintain awareness of industry trends and inform strategic decisions.
• Contribute to department initiatives.
