Position Summary

Reporting to a Project Manager, the Associate Project Manager will oversee the planning and delivery of low-complexity projects within scope, schedule, and budget, adhering to BGIS and client procedures. This role involves collaborating with technical staff, consultants, and contractors, and requires strong communication, reporting, stakeholder management, and financial skills to ensure client satisfaction and project success.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Plan and oversee the end-to-end delivery of assigned projects.
  2. Define project scope, deliverables, and requirements with stakeholders.
  3. Develop and implement project plans.
  4. Determine resource needs, budgets, and timelines.
  5. Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  6. Monitor project progress and ensure timely completion.
  7. Manage project team activities and monitor task completion.
  8. Communicate project status to stakeholders.
  9. Ensure projects meet all regulatory, environmental, health, and safety standards.
  10. Other duties as assigned.
Client Relationship Management
  • Build and maintain effective client relationships.
  • Address issues, manage expectations, and ensure satisfaction.
Knowledge & Skills Required
  • Community college diploma in architectural, construction, or engineering technology, or equivalent experience.
  • 1-3 years of project management experience or 5-7 years of project coordination in a construction owner’s representative environment.
  • Proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and compliant with all requirements.
  • Experience managing project budgets and risks.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to develop stakeholder relationships and provide high-level client service.
  • Experience managing vendor relationships.
  • Continuous improvement mindset and familiarity with best practices and technologies.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, MS Project, and ability to learn new applications quickly.
Continued Education and Professional Accreditation
  • Project Management Institute Accreditation (in progress).
  • LEED certification (in progress).
