Job summary

Qualifications

• Proven ability as a visual storyteller.
• Excellent journalistic skills and knowledge of CBC Journalistic Standards and Practices.
• Strong writing and editing capabilities for on‑air and online content.
• Ability to edit, publish and manage video content in CMS environments.
• Experience using production programming tools to build lineups and outlooks.

Responsibilities

• Identify visual storytelling opportunities for CBC News and external clients in consultation with a producer.
• Deliver video content to syndication partners via internal systems.
• Cut, transcode and distribute video from CBC sources while meeting quality and metadata standards.
• Compose concise text, titles, thumbnails and scripts for on‑camera segments.
• Maintain a menu of available video for clients to choose from and update as needed.
• Ensure content adheres to CBC News editorial standards and is accurate, balanced and timely.
