Scouten & Rogers is hiring a full-time associate lawyer to join its family law litigation team in Vancouver’s historic Gastown.

This position is ideal for a junior lawyer who wants meaningful litigation experience in a focused and supportive environment. The successful candidate willmanage family law files independently under the supervision of an experienced family lawyerwhile alsoproviding direct support to a senior family law litigatoron complex, high-conflict matters. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in court, takes initiative, and wants to sharpen their litigation skills in a dynamic team setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Independently manage family law files, including parenting, support, property, and protection order matters
• Support senior counsel on major files, including drafting, legal research, and trial preparation
• Appear in Provincial and Supreme Court for applications, case conferences, and trials
• Prepare affidavits, applications, pleadings, written submissions, and correspondence
• Participate in mediations and client meetings
• Work collaboratively with other lawyers under the GLC model

Qualifications:

• 1–3 years of call to the BC Bar
• Strong legal writing and analytical skills
• Confident oral advocate with sound courtroom judgment
• Organized, efficient, and able to manage competing deadlines with urgency
• A strong interest in family law litigation
• Prior family law experience is an asset but not required
