DNV's Energy Systems seeks an Associate Engineer (Hydraulics) to join the Hydraulics and Flow Assurance group in Calgary. Hybrid work model with three days on-site or at client locations and a reporting line to the Head of Section.

The role focuses on hydraulics and flow assurance studies, using SPS, Synergi, OLGA, and related tools, with involvement in energy transition projects and client communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited university.
• 0–2 years related experience.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word and technical writing.
• Ability to communicate with diverse industry clients.
• Detail oriented with proactive initiative.
• Knowledge of fluid dynamics and heat transfer basics.

Responsibilities

• Carry out hydraulics and flow assurance studies using software.
• Model systems from reservoir through pipelines and lines.
• Compile data and determine suitable methodologies.
• Document analyses clearly for client delivery.
• Engage in hydrogen and carbon capture projects.
• Collaborate within a team and review peers' work.
• Support regulatory reviews and business development.
