Job summary

Inter Pipeline in Calgary is seeking a Sr. Engineer, Hydraulics to lead steady-state and transient hydraulic modelling for pipelines, facilities, and system optimization. You will mentor engineers, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and support critical decisions.

You will apply 8+ years of hydrocarbon pipeline hydraulics experience, advanced modelling tools, and knowledge of CSA Z662 and ASME standards to deliver practical recommendations and robust designs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, or Process) and P.Eng. registered or eligible
• Minimum 8 years of pipeline engineering experience in hydrocarbon liquids
• Strong hydraulic fundamentals and use of analysis methods including simulation software

Responsibilities

• Provide senior-level technical expertise in liquid pipeline hydraulics, including steady-state and transient analysis
• Conduct hydraulic assessments for pipeline expansions and new facilities
• Develop and validate hydraulic models using SCADA data and operating practices
• Mentor developing engineers and contribute to tool and workflow improvements
