Job summary

Net2Source (N2S) is seeking a Hydraulic Engineer for a 1-year contract in Canada (Edmonton) with possible extensions. The role involves providing hydraulic engineering expertise for pipeline and facility design, ensuring safe, reliable, and cost-effective solutions.

The ideal candidate must have an engineering degree, P.Eng. designation or equivalent, and over 4 years of experience in liquid pipeline engineering. Strong problem-solving and communication skills are essential. The position offers a hybrid work model with in-office and remote days.

Qualifications

  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation or equivalent required.
  • 4+ years of experience in liquid pipeline and facility engineering/design.
  • Ability to work independently on complex engineering challenges.

Responsibilities

Job description

Duration: 1 year contract with possible extensions

Work Model: Hybrid (Mon, Tues, Thurs in office / Weds, Fri remote)

Description:

  • Provides hydraulic engineering expertise for pipeline and facility design, supporting projects from concept through execution.
  • Responsible for hydraulic analysis, system design, risk assessment, and delivering safe, reliable, and cost-effective solutions.
  • Works closely with project teams, stakeholders, and external consultants to ensure designs meet project requirements and company standards.

Key Requirements:

  • Engineering degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation or equivalent.
  • 4+ years of experience in liquid pipeline and facility engineering/design.
  • Strong problem-solving, project delivery, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently on complex engineering challenges.

Preferred:

  • Experience with hydraulic modeling software such as Fathom, PipelineOptimizer, Synergi Pipeline Simulator (SPS), or similar tools.
