Job summary

Turner & Townsend in Calgary is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor with 7+ years of cost estimating experience to lead cost planning and value engineering across major projects.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of cost estimating experience across all project phases.

Job Description

Who are you?
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be involved in:

• Managingthe development of cost estimates for projects from concept through execution


• Analyzingtender returns to ensure the client receives value for money


• Engagingin value engineering discussions to identify the best solution available for the client


• Providinglife cycle cost and sustainability advice


• Benchmarking for validation and target-setting on major projects


• Taking a lead role in interfacing with the client and other consultants, at all project stages


• Working in project teams to ensure the clients goals are managed and achieved

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in cost estimating positions across all project phases


• A recognized university degree (or equivalent) in Engineering/Construction Management or a relevant subject


• Membership in relevant professional organizations is a bonus (CIQS/RICS)


• Knowledge and proficiency with cost estimating tools
