Job summary

Turner & Townsend is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead cost estimation efforts across project lifecycles. You will develop estimates, evaluate tenders, and participate in value engineering to optimize client outcomes.

You will provide life cycle cost guidance and benchmarks while collaborating with clients and multidisciplinary teams to deliver complex projects at scale.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of cost estimating experience across all project phases.
• Degree in Engineering/Construction Management or related field is required or equivalent.
• Membership in CIQS/RICS is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Manage development of cost estimates for projects from concept through execution.
• Analyze tender returns to ensure value for money for the client.

Job Description

As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be involved in:

• Managing the development of cost estimates for projects from concept through execution
• Analyzing tender returns to ensure the client receives value for money
• Engaging in value engineering discussions to identify the best solution available for the client
• Providing life cycle cost and sustainability advice
• Benchmarking for validation and target-setting on major projects
• Taking a lead role in interfacing with the client and other consultants, at all project stages
• Working in project teams to ensure the clients goals are managed and achieved

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in cost estimating positions across all project phases
• A recognized university degree (or equivalent) in Engineering/Construction Management or a relevant subject
• Membership in relevant professional organizations is a bonus (CIQS/RICS)
• Knowledge and proficiency with cost estimating tools
