Job summary

Agricorp in Guelph, Ontario is seeking an Associate Claims Adjudicator to support Ontario farmers by delivering financial and risk management programs, determine eligibility across programs, and process claims.

In this role you will review applications, verify data, calculate benefits, escalate high-risk issues, and provide guidance to agents and producers, while building relationships with producers and agents.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree or college diploma in finance, business, commerce, economics, agriculture or related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in claims or risk adjudication.
• Ability to communicate clearly to diverse groups.
• Strong organizational skills and teamwork.
• Agricultural knowledge is an asset.

Responsibilities

Associate Claims adjudicators help deliver financial and risk management government programs for Ontario’s agriculture sector. The Role

Associate Claims Adjudicators conduct financial reviews and analysis to determine the eligibility of claims. They also verify customer production information, and process claims and claim payments for programs delivered by Agricorp.

In this role, you will:

Job status: Permanent Full-time (posting for existing vacancy)
Salary: $58,208 - $68,480
Work Status: Full time in office

What you bring

• Post-secondary degree or College diploma in finance, business, commerce, economics, agriculture or related field, or equivalent experience; additional training in accounting, risk analysis/risk management, or financial analysis, an asset
• 1-2 years of experience in claims or risk adjudication, preferably in the financial services or agricultural sectors
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly to diverse groups, including clients, brokers, agents and other professionals
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment
• Agricultural knowledge is an asset
