Job summary

Dollarama is seeking an Assistant Team Leader to support the management team in executing daily retail store operations, deliver excellent customer service, and maintain an organized, efficient store environment.

You will help supervise staff, handle cash duties, assist with opening/closing, participate in hiring and performance reviews, and ensure safety and cleanliness standards are met in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.

Qualifications

• Approximately one (1) year of relevant experience in the retail industry.
• At least one (1) year in a supervisory role.
• Flexible availability (day, evening, weekend).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Customer service-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the management team in managing store operations and staff.
• Boxing and unboxing daily shipments.
• Stocking daily products on shelves.
• Climbing ladders to reach all areas of the store.
• Providing good customer service and resolving customer issues.
• Ensuring store safety and cleanliness standards are maintained.
• Performing cash management, store opening and closing duties as needed.
• Following up on assigned tasks.
• Conducting manager‑on‑duty tasks: making sure daily breaks, time and attendance are properly tracked and participating in the hiring and performance management process.
