Job summary

QE Home in Vancouver's South Granville store is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in driving sales, coaching the team, and delivering exceptional guest service. Lead by example on the floor, ensure inventory and visual merchandising standards, recruit and onboard new teammates, and step in during absence to keep operations running smoothly.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of retail experience with 1–2 years in a supervisory role.
• Experience using POS systems in fast-paced retail environments.
• Strong organizational and operational skills.
• Hands-on leadership style and ability to motivate a diverse team.

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager in daily operations, including sales, merchandising, team leadership and guest experience.
• Provide coaching and feedback to team members to meet performance goals.

As an Assistant Store Manager, you’ll support the Store Manager in driving store performance, inspiring your team, and delivering exceptional guest service. Your leadership will play a vital role in creating a warm, welcoming environment that reflects our brand’s commitment to comfort, style, and quality.

What You’ll Be Working On

• Supportingthe Store Manager in daily operations, including sales, merchandising, team leadership, andguestexperience.

• Providingcoaching and feedback to team members to help them meet performance goals and grow professionally.

• Fosteringa positive and inclusive work environment that aligns with QE Home’s values.

• Meetingorexceedingdaily, weekly, and monthly sales targets.

• Leadingby example on the sales floor, delivering exceptional service and product knowledge.

• Ensuringvisual merchandising standards are consistently met and exceeded.

• Helpingrecruit, train, and onboard new team members.

• Assistingin inventory management and loss prevention initiatives.

• Steppinginto the Store Manager role in their absence to ensure operational continuity.

The Physical Side of the Role

• Ability to stand for up to 8 hours.

• Ability to lift or carry up to 50 lbs.

• Ability to shift, push, reach, stretch, twist, bend, pull or maneuver weight over 50 lbs. to fold, stock and build or display merchandise. In addition, you may be required to change beds including moving a mattress to put on a bed skirt.

• Comfortable climbingladders formerchandising and stock.

What Will Set You Up for Success

• 2+ years of retail experience, with at least 1-2yearsin a supervisory role.

• A strong passion for home décor, design, and creating beautiful spaces.

• Ability to coach, motivate, and inspire a diverse team.

• Clear and confident communication skills, both verbal and written.

• Experience using POS systems and working in a fast-paced retail setting.

• Strong organizationaland operational skills.

• Ahands-on leadership style.
