Job summary

Dollar Tree Canada in Nanaimo is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with day-to-day activities, help customers, manage merchandise flow from delivery to floor, and support opening and closing procedures.

This role requires a high school diploma, store management experience preferred, and strong communication and customer service skills.

Qualifications

• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day store operations and customer service.
• Help organize merchandise from delivery to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Assist in payroll, scheduling, cash handling, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked store and secure assets.
• Back up the Store Manager in supervising and developing store associates.
