Job summary

Pro Hockey Life, part of the Canadian Tire family, is seeking a Store Leader to drive exceptional customer experience and operational excellence. You will mentor department managers, coach staff, and execute weekly plans across sales, training, pricing, and compliance in a fast-paced retail environment.

You will oversee onboarding, performance evaluations, and succession planning, while ensuring attendance to LP, OH&S, and IT readiness.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership and mentoring experience.
• Ability to execute daily store plans effectively.
• Strong communication, organizational skills, and financial discipline.
• 5 years of retail management experience.
• High energy, enthusiasm, and a drive to succeed.

Responsibilities

• Champion and deliver Pro Hockey Life's Customer Experience Model across the entire Store Team.
• Meet Staff Training Saturation targets related to Product Knowledge and Fit Etiquette
• Achieve Net Promotor individual store targets.
• Ensure Staff Onboarding is delivered to the company's expectation.
• Become an Ambassador of Canadian Tire's Triangle Rewards Program.
• Provide continuous feedback and coaching to Store Teams using Store Force Reporting.
• Daily Huddles, and formal performance evaluation programs.
• Flawless execution of PHL's visual compliance standards, store maintenance and pricing standards.
• Effectively utilizes store operating initiatives and directives according to timelines.
• Establishes plan and follows up on weekly price changes and department POP; 100% system pricing and weekly sweeps.
• Deliver annual corporate shrink targets through team education, LP/audit standards, and inventory control.
• Oversees preparation for annual inventories.
• Compliance with LP, Cash and Store Audit, and OH&S policies.
• Overall efficiency of store eComm business and IT/store infrastructure readiness.
• Coach and develop Department Managers and store staff with set expectations and ongoing support.
• Execute Weekly Plans and develop staff development plans; annual appraisals for Full Time staff.
• Provide clear, concise communication; lead effective Huddles/Meetings/Coaching while keeping team informed.
• Ensure training completion within time limits with Department Managers.
• Provide resolution for all customer concerns.
• Work with Store GM on succession plans via training and HR collaboration.
• Motivate team through recognition programs and positive environment.
• Maintain performance management expectations and progressive discipline when needed.
