Role Overview

Reports to: Store Manager

Summary: The Assistant Manager shares responsibility for the store's overall performance, supporting sales, staff development, store appearance, and expense control.

Responsibilities

1. Generate sales and profit, minimize losses, and maintain store visual standards.
2. Implement strategies to meet and exceed business goals.
3. Maintain high customer service standards.
4. Communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
5. Represent the Tommy Hilfiger image professionally.
6. Oversee store productivity, staffing, and inventory results.
7. Manage store activities in the absence of the GM/SM or Assistant Manager.
8. Prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.

Operational Duties

1. Adhere to company policies and procedures.
2. Ensure safety and security within the store.
3. Identify and resolve problems proactively.
4. Control expenses, including payroll.
5. Attend management meetings as needed.
6. Follow inventory and merchandising protocols.
7. Ensure the store has necessary tools and resources.
8. Oversee store opening and closing procedures.

Leadership

1. Assist in recruiting and hiring qualified sales associates.
2. Develop staff in product knowledge, customer service, and sales skills.
3. Motivate and support team members to achieve goals.
4. Handle challenging situations professionally.
5. Lead by example and participate in meetings.

Merchandising & Visuals

1. Supervise department performance and visual standards.
2. Implement merchandising directives effectively.
3. Analyze sales data to optimize merchandise mix.
4. Maintain store presentation and organization.
