Role Overview
Reports to: Store Manager
Summary: The Assistant Manager shares responsibility for the store's overall performance, supporting sales, staff development, store appearance, and expense control.
Responsibilities
- Generate sales and profit, minimize losses, and maintain store visual standards.
- Implement strategies to meet and exceed business goals.
- Maintain high customer service standards.
- Communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
- Represent the Tommy Hilfiger image professionally.
- Oversee store productivity, staffing, and inventory results.
- Manage store activities in the absence of the GM/SM or Assistant Manager.
- Prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently.
Operational Duties
- Adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Ensure safety and security within the store.
- Identify and resolve problems proactively.
- Control expenses, including payroll.
- Attend management meetings as needed.
- Follow inventory and merchandising protocols.
- Ensure the store has necessary tools and resources.
- Oversee store opening and closing procedures.
Leadership
- Assist in recruiting and hiring qualified sales associates.
- Develop staff in product knowledge, customer service, and sales skills.
- Motivate and support team members to achieve goals.
- Handle challenging situations professionally.
- Lead by example and participate in meetings.
Merchandising & Visuals
- Supervise department performance and visual standards.
- Implement merchandising directives effectively.
- Analyze sales data to optimize merchandise mix.
- Maintain store presentation and organization.
