Job summary

Dollarama is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Vaughan to support daily retail operations, drive customer satisfaction, and meet sales goals. You will act as Manager on Duty in the Store Manager’s absence, lead staff, and ensure safety and merchandising standards.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of retail and supervisory experience, strong leadership and communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Open availability is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) years of retail experience.
• At least two (2) years in a supervisory or management role.
• Open availability (day, evening, weekend).
• Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily operations and staff management.
• Support merchandising, stocking and daily shipments.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and resolve escalations.

The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in overseeing daily retail operations, ensuring customer satisfaction, and achieving sales goals. Acts as Manager on Duty in the Store Manager’s absence.

Daily Tasks (but not limited to)

• Assisting the Store Manager with operations and staff management.
• Helping with merchandising, stocking, and unpacking daily shipments.
• Providing exceptional customer service and resolving escalated issues.
• Training, coaching, and developing employees.
• Performing cash management, store opening and closing duties as needed.
• Assigning tasks to the team and ensuring store safety and cleanliness.
• Conducting regular performance evaluations and providing feedback.
• Ensuring adherence to company policies and safety standards.
• Maintaining visual merchandising standards.
• Responsible for hiring and performance management.

What Do You Need to Succeed?
