The Assistant Store Manager at our store in downtown Vancouver makes the client’s needs his/her first priority. He/she strives to build client relationships, listen to clients to anticipate their needs, and take personal responsibility for the client’s requests. The Assistant Store Manager is very knowledgeable about company merchandise and remains continuously up to date as new products are introduced. The incumbent strives to create a good impression and deliver memorable service to clients.

In addition, the Assistant Store Manager assists the Store Director with daily store operations. Together with the Store Director, the Assistant Store Manager is responsible for meeting and exceeding sales and store operation objectives through proactive selling techniques.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Replaces the Store Director in his/her absence
• Provides support to the store’s staff and acts as a resource, providing guidance to ensure delegated tasks are successfully completed
• Assists the Store Director to ensure that all store staff operate according to the Company’s guidelines, policies, and procedures as outlined in the Store Operations manual
• Maintains a professional attitude at all times and conducts business with integrity
• Builds and maintains a client book and alerts clients to upcoming events and new products
• Complies with all Company guidelines, policies, and procedures as outlined in the Store Operations manual
• Offers assistance to and builds effective working relationships with team members
• Organizes merchandise and displays to maximize sales and minimize shrinkage
• Opens/closes the store
• Meets sales targets and objectives continuously

Our ideal candidate has…

• 2-5 years of retail sales experience; luxury retail and/or jewelry experience preferred
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Operations Management, Business Administration, or relevant education
• Strong team values and leadership skills
• Ability to offer exceptional client service that is both unique and memorable
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and writing skills
• Solid knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• A goal-oriented and sales-driven mindset, with a focus on caring for clients and exceeding expectations
