EQ3 in Montréal is seeking a dedicated Assistant Store Manager to help lead our St-Laurent sales team, support daily operations, and create an inspiring environment where employees and customers feel valued.

Working with the Store Manager, you will implement sales initiatives, coach staff, manage scheduling and inventory, and maintain an organized showroom that reflects EQ3's design-forward brand and premium customer experience for every guest.

Responsibilities

• Support Store Manager with daily operations and overall store performance.

• Collaborate with Store Manager to implement plans for sales, payroll, budgeting, and business objectives.
• Monitor performance and identify opportunities to improve sales, productivity, and customer experience.

• Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and health and safety requirements.

ASSISTANT STORE MANAGER

Full-Time | EQ3 St-Laurent | Montréal, QC

EQ3 is looking for an enthusiastic and collaborative Assistant Store Manager to join our St-Laurent team. Working closely with the Store Manager, you will help lead the sales team, support daily operations, and create an inspiring environment where employees and customers feel genuinely supported.

You’ll be joining our team at 4428 Saint-Laurent Boulevard, Montréal, Quebec, in a full-time capacity.

In This Role, You Will

• Support the Store Manager with daily operations and the overall performance of the store
• Provide leadership and direction to the sales team and assume responsibility for the store when the Store Manager is unavailable
• Coach, motivate, and develop employees through ongoing feedback, product knowledge, promotions, and sales initiatives
• Work collaboratively with the Store Manager to develop and implement action plans that support sales, payroll, budgeting, and business objectives
• Monitor store performance and help identify opportunities to improve sales, productivity, and the customer experience
• Actively engage with customers, understand their individual needs, and help deliver a knowledgeable and personalized shopping experience
• Support the resolution of customer concerns with professionalism, sound judgment, and a solutions-focused approach
• Work with the team to maintain an organized and visually inspiring showroom that reflects EQ3's brand and merchandising standards
• Assist with employee scheduling, payroll administration, inventory processes, and other operational priorities
• Maintain accurate customer records, prepare bank deposits, and reconcile daily sales and balance totals
• Help create a collaborative workplace that promotes accountability, recognition, and professional growth
• Ensure compliance with company policies, operational procedures, and applicable health and safety requirements

What You Bring To The Table

• A minimum of three years of retail experience, including previous leadership or supervisory responsibilities; a combination of relevant education and experience may also be considered
• Demonstrated ability to coach, motivate, and support a retail sales team
• A strong customer-service mindset and the ability to build meaningful, lasting relationships
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organizational, decision‑making, and problem‑solving abilities
• The confidence to provide leadership and make sound operational decisions in the Store Manager's absence
• A results‑oriented approach, with a commitment to achieving sales goals and maintaining high standards of service, accuracy, and performance
• Proficiency with point‑of‑sale systems and Microsoft Office; experience with SharePoint or STORIS is considered an asset
• An understanding of visual merchandising, retail trends, market competition, and evolving customer needs
• Experience in furniture, home décor, interior design, fashion, or another premium customer‑focused retail environment is considered an asset
• Postsecondary education in Business Administration, Retail Management, Sales, or a related field is considered an asset
• Availability to work a flexible retail schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required
