As an Assistant Store Manager, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting the Store Manager in daily store operations, maintaining inventories, store appearance, and completing daily paperwork.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist customers in a positive, approachable manner; answer questions and resolve inquiries.
• Maintain a presence in the store by providing excellent customer service.
• Ensure the store is clean and well-stocked.
• Supervise, train, and develop Store Associates on Family Dollar practices.
• Assist in unloading merchandise, organizing, and transferring stock.
• Help in ordering merchandise, record keeping, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Support loss prevention efforts.
• Act as manager in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.

Position Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to interpret operational directives.
• Retail management experience preferred.
• Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs regularly, with occasional lifts up to 55 lbs; capable of walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Flexible, full-time availability including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Skills include customer focus, potential development, results orientation, organizational skills, communication, problem-solving, and relationship management.
