Position Objectives:

The objective of the Team Lead role is to support the mission, vision, values, and pillars of Cannabis NB by providing leadership and management to the retail team and supporting the Retail Store Manager in delivering retail processes to achieve operational objectives.

Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities:

In support of strategic pillars and in partnership with the Retail Store Manager, the responsibilities of a Team Lead may include, but are not limited to:

  • Monitoring labour costs, dashboards, and KPIs.
  • Ensuring adherence to loss prevention policies to support store shrink goals.
  • Leading and supporting CERs in executing store processes to optimize operations, including planograms, merchandising, stock rotation (FIFO), inventory control, product recalls, and replenishment.
  • Reporting and addressing near misses, customer injuries, or workplace accidents promptly.
  • Managing and approving time/attendance, supporting attendance, and ensuring monthly inspections are completed.
  • Advocating safety practices using safety leadership best practices.
Corporate Citizenship:
  • Reporting and addressing lapses in compliance with policies and laws.
  • Engaging with the team to ensure understanding of mission, vision, and goals.
  • Fostering a culture of quality, safety, and curated service.
  • Staying informed on industry trends and legislation.
  • Ensuring social responsibility practices are followed and effective.
  • Representing the company professionally and positively, building relationships, inspiring others, and representing the organization in the community.
Customer Engagement and Experience:
  • Leading and coaching the team to execute customer engagement processes.
  • Maintaining a neat, organized store and providing world-class customer service (G.U.I.D.E.).
  • Utilizing aroma pods to exceed customer expectations.
  • Coaching Customer Experience Representatives, managing customer traffic, and executing sales and returns in line with policies.
  • Aligning customer experience with safety and education mandates, and ensuring digital signage aligns with standards.
Performance Culture:

In partnership with the Retail Store Manager, foster team engagement by clarifying responsibilities, providing resources, recognizing success, encouraging skill development, sharing feedback, and supporting professional growth. Conduct performance reviews, manage professional development, and participate in training and challenges to support company growth. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to problem-solve.
