JRoss Hospitality Recruiters seeks an Assistant Restaurant Manager for a premier destination dining experience on Vancouver Island in Ucluelet. Lead front-of-house operations, mentor staff, and collaborate with ownership to deliver memorable guest experiences in a hands-on leadership role across the restaurant and boutique accommodations.
You will oversee service, train team, guide beverage program, and manage reservations while fostering guest relations.

As Assistant Restaurant Manager, you will play an important leadership role within the front-of-house team, partnering with the ownership and leadership team to deliver exceptional guest experiences while supporting the daily operation of the restaurant and boutique accommodations. This is a hands-on hospitality leadership role for someone who enjoys being present on the floor, developing people, and creating memorable moments for guests. You will help lead service, mentor team members, support beverage education, and contribute to the continued evolution of one of Canada’s leading destination restaurants. This position is ideal for an emerging hospitality leader who is passionate about food, wine, and service excellence and is looking for an opportunity to grow toward a future Restaurant Manager role.
The leadership team typically works four days per week, averaging 40 to 50 hours. Summer brings full, energetic service periods, while winter offers a slower pace and the opportunity to enjoy everything the West Coast has to offer.
