Job description

Ensure each guest feels welcome and receives friendly, attentive service.

Champion a culture of hospitality, resolving any guest concerns with professionalism and positivity.

Lead the team in maintaining a fun, family-friendly dining experience.

Assist in recruiting, hiring, and training team members to uphold high service and operational standards.

Lead by example, inspiring and motivating the team to deliver excellent guest experiences.

Help create schedules, oversee staffing levels, and foster a positive team environment with ongoing coaching and mentorship.

Operational Excellence:

Support the General Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring efficiency and quality.

Maintain high standards of food safety, cleanliness, and compliance with health regulations.

Coordinate between the kitchen and dining room to ensure smooth service, particularly during peak periods.

Assist in implementing process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.

Financial Performance:

Support budgeting and cost control efforts, including food, beverage, and labor costs.

Assist in monitoring sales and expense reports, helping to implement strategies to boost revenue and profitability.

Ensure accurate cash handling, inventory management, and financial reporting.

Community & Atmosphere:

Help uphold and enhance the family-friendly atmosphere of the restaurant.

Support community engagement efforts, including local marketing initiatives and family-oriented events.

Foster a welcoming and inclusive environment that encourages repeat visits from guests.

Requirements:

Minimum of 2+ years in a leadership role within the restaurant industry (Assistant General Manager, Floor Manager, or similar).

Experience in casual dining or family restaurant settings is a strong plus.

Leadership & People Skills:

Strong leadership abilities with a track record of team development and engagement.

Skilled at training, mentoring, and providing constructive feedback.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to connect with staff and guests alike.

Passion for Hospitality:

A guest-focused mindset with a passion for creating memorable dining experiences.

Positive, enthusiastic approach to problem-solving and leadership.

Operational Knowledge:

Familiarity with restaurant operations, including front-of-house and back-of-house management.

Understanding of health, safety, and sanitation regulations.

Ability to multitask and make informed decisions in a fast-paced environment.

Basic knowledge of budgeting, P&L statements, and cost control.

Experience implementing sales growth strategies and local marketing efforts is a plus.
