Job summary

Realstar is seeking an Assistant Resident Manager to live on-site at one of our Vancouver properties. The role requires you to live on-site and work four weekdays each week, every second weekend, and be on-call some evenings.

Responsibilities include customer service, general cleaning, and property maintenance, with supervision support for repairs and trades coordination. Base compensation ranges from CAD 37,000 to 39,000, plus employer-paid benefits and bonuses.

Qualifications

• Experience in property management is an asset.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Basic computer skills and keyboarding.
• Ability to perform cleaning duties and minor maintenance.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and move heavy objects.

Responsibilities

• Greet residents in a friendly, professional manner and promote a welcoming atmosphere.
• Attend to resident concerns and service requests within 24 hours.
• Maintain cleanliness of common areas and vacants, including shared spaces and testing of appliances.
• Assist with HVAC monitoring and minor electrical, plumbing, boiler and chiller maintenance tasks.
• Coordinate with supervisor and contractors to schedule repairs and ensure high property standards.

We are currently seeking an Assistant Resident Manager to live and work at one of our properties. This position would require you to live on-site and work four weekdays each week, every second weekend and on-call some evenings. This offer is for an existing vacant position within the organization.

Responsibilities

Customer Service

• Greet and interact with residents in a friendly and professional manner
• Promote a welcoming atmosphere
• Demonstrate excellent customer service and a \"can-do\" attitude
• Attend to resident concerns and service requests within 24 hours
• Follow up with residents to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction

General Cleaning

• Maintain cleanliness of all common areas including foyers, amenity rooms, underground parking garage, locker rooms, patios, and rooftops
• Knowledge and safe handling of cleaning chemicals
• Perform thorough cleaning of vacant units, including appliances, floors, walls, windows, kitchens, washrooms, and balconies, ensuring they are move-in ready
• Dust fire hose cabinets, bells and elevator tracks to minimize excess debris
• Monitor and clean of garbage chutes, garbage and recycling rooms
• Collection of garbage and recycling bins in coordination with the city waste schedule
• Knowledge and understanding of the safe handling of cleaning materials (WHMIS)
• Conduct yard maintenance, including picking up loose garbage around the exterior of the property, removing snow and ice, salting entrances, walkways, and rooftop walkways

Property Maintenance

• Assist residents how to complete maintenance requests through the proper channels
• Daily walkthroughs of each floor, stairwell, and common areas fixing minor deficiencies
• Report serious deficiencies related to curb appeal or safety hazards to the direct supervisor for further action
• Assist the supervisor in HVAC monitoring, troubleshooting minor electrical, plumbing, boiler & chiller maintenance
• Assist the supervisor with scheduling and overseeing repair activities of tradesmen and contractors as required

Qualifications

• Previous or similar property management experience an asset
• Strong customer service skills
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Basic computer and keyboarding skills
• Ability to perform general cleaning duties, and minor maintenance repairs
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to push and move objects exceeding 50 lbs. (e.g. garbage bins, appliances)
