Job summary

Realstar is seeking an Assistant Resident Manager for an Edmonton property. This on-site role offers housing in an apartment suite with a schedule of four weekdays, every other weekend, and occasional on-call evening shifts.

You will support resident services, coordinate cleaning and maintenance, assist with leasing, and respond to on-site requests. Realstar offers rent-free living, bonuses, training, awards, and growth opportunities in a diverse workplace.

Qualifications

• Previous or similar property management experience (an asset).
• Professional/presentable appearance.
• Knowledge and understanding of WHMIS and safe handling of cleaning materials.

Responsibilities

• Clean common areas of the property (hallways, stairwells, amenities).
• Perform minor maintenance repairs and troubleshoot issues.
• Prepare vacant apartment suites for new residents.
• Provide exceptional customer service to residents and potential residents.
• Assist with leasing suites.
• Respond to on-call requests.

The Opportunity

Realstar is a leading residential property management company with over 160 properties across Canada. Our properties are clean, quiet and attract quality residents who will attest to our unique standards of service. Assistant Resident Managers play an important role in the successful operation of a residential rental building under our management.

Key Responsibilities

• Cleaning common areas of property (hallways, stairwells, amenities)
• Minor maintenance repairs and troubleshooting
• Preparing vacant apartment suites for new residents
• Providing exceptional customer service to residents and potential residents
• Assisting with leasing suites
• Responding to on-call requests

Qualifications

• Previous or similar property management experience (an asset)
• Display a professional/presentable appearance
• Knowledge and understanding of the safe handling of cleaning materials (WHMIS)
• Ability to perform general cleaning duties, and minor maintenance repairs
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs, items could include garbage bins, furniture, appliances or while performing snow removal duties, sometimes for extended periods of time
• Basic computer and keyboarding skills
• Good written and verbal communication skills
