The Minnesota Department of Transportation in St. Paul seeks an Assistant Projects Engineer to support the Jurisdictional Transfer program. You will assist the Projects Engineer with coordination between DSAEs and local agencies and provide technical, historical, and legislative knowledge on transfers.
You will also help manage projects, coordinate tasks, and share information related to special projects led or co-led by State Aid Operations. A professional engineer license is required.

This position within the State Aid for Local Transportation Division will be part of a team that delivers the local, state aid, state transportation, and federal programs to counties, cities, and townships statewide. This position acts as a technical liaison and resource to leadership and local agencies in the State Aid for Local Transportation group. This position will provide support to the Jurisdictional Transfer Program.
This position is located at Central Office in St. Paul and may have the flexibility to telework, work a hybrid schedule, or work in the office. The incumbent will be required to make a telework arrangement with their supervisor. The incumbent will be expected to work in the office as determined by policy and discussion with their supervisor.

Licensure as a professional engineer with the Minnesota Board of Architecture, Engineering, Land Surveying, Landscape Architecture, Geoscience and Interior Design (AELSLAGID). If obtaining licensure through comity (reciprocity), a temporary permit from AELSLAGID must be provided to MnDOT HR prior to starting employment.
