Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry, located in St. Paul, is seeking a Plumbing Plan Reviewer to administer the Minnesota Plumbing Code and perform complex plan reviews for various building types.
The role requires a Minnesota PE license, experience in plumbing design/review, and strong communication skills. This position offers conditional hybrid telework and in-office work at the St. Paul office.

This position exists to administer the Minnesota State Plumbing Code by performing complex engineering plan reviews for plumbing systems in all building types except single‑family homes, two‑family homes, townhomes, and multi‑family homes with four or fewer dwellings. The incumbent applies licensed professional engineering judgment to determine compliance with the Minnesota State Plumbing Code, referenced standards, and the Minnesota Building Code Chapter 1300 to protect public health and safety.
It is the policy that all final candidates submit to a background investigation prior to employment. The background check may consist of the following components: SEMA4 Records Check, Employment Reference Check, Criminal History Check, Driver’s License Check, Social Security and Address Verification, Conflict of Interest Review, Education/License Verification.
