Job summary

Pomerleau Construction is seeking an Assistant Project Manager for its Building Operations team in Greenwood, NS. You will support large-scale construction and infrastructure projects, from planning through completion, coordinating with client groups and subcontractors on site.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience in the ICI construction industry.
• University degree or technology diploma in engineering.
• Solid knowledge of construction project methodologies, financial management, codes and legislation.
• Proven track record in project leadership and cross-functional teamwork.
• Strong ability to build and maintain stakeholder relationships.
• Must be eligible for Government of Canada Secret level clearance.

Responsibilities

• Assist and guide the project team with coordination and project support.
• Review, interpret and update construction schedules.
• Manage shop drawings, RFIs, purchase orders, change notices and closeout documents.
• Review and analyze project quotes to secure best market prices.
• Promote HS&E standards and enforce safety requirements on site.
• Foster positive relationships with subtrades, clients and stakeholders.
