Job summary

Pomerleau is seeking an Assistant Project Manager for our Building Operations team in Greenwood, NS. The role manages large-scale building projects and collaborates with clients and subcontractors to drive delivery and value.

You will coordinate schedules, review shop drawings and RFIs, and lead safety practices while maintaining strong stakeholder relationships and ensuring compliance with codes and regulations. On-site work is required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience in the ICI construction industry.
• University Degree/Technology Diploma in Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, financial management, building codes and related legislation.
• Proven track record for project leadership and team collaboration.
• Eligible for Government of Canada Secret level clearance.

Responsibilities

• Assist and guide the project team with coordination and project support.
• Review, interpret and update construction schedules.
• Maintain and track shop drawings, RFIs, material purchase orders, change notices and project documentation.
• Collect, review and analyze project quotes to obtain best market pricing.
• Demonstrate leadership in Health, Safety and Environmental protection on the project.
• Build positive relationships with subtrades, clients and project stakeholders.
