Job summary

Colliers Project Leaders in Vancouver seeks an Assistant Project Manager to support a range of building and facilities projects in healthcare, education, and commercial sectors. You will work with seasoned Project Managers to coordinate schedules, documentation, and site activities.

You will gain exposure to design management, contract administration, and project finance while advancing your PMP ambitions. The role emphasizes strong communication, organization, and a client-centric approach

Qualifications

• A university degree or diploma in engineering, architecture or construction management (or an equivalent combination of academic and practical experience)
• A minimum of 1–3 years of project coordination experience managing projects of varying size and scope in healthcare, education and municipal/provincial sectors
• E.I.T preferred
• Active pursuit of PMP designation through PMI
• Exposure to consultant and design management, construction contract administration and project financials is an asset
• Understanding of project delivery models including design-build, construction management, design-bid-build
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
• Results-oriented with ability to take responsibility
• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
• Proficiency in scheduling (MS Project), Word, and Excel

Responsibilities

• Work alongside experienced project managers to learn client satisfaction and project delivery essentials
• Provide project support including schedule updates, progress reports, and tender/contract document prep
• Assist on-site with organization of contractors and consultants
• Attend project and site meetings to capture action items
• Serve as communication link between Project Managers and contractors/consultants/suppliers
• Provide relief support on other projects as needed
• Ensure activities comply with Colliers Project Leaders Quality Management System
