As an Assistant Project Manager in the Civil & Infrastructure team at Pomerleau Construction, you will manage large-scale civil and infrastructure projects - ranging from $1.5 million to upwards of $1 billion - while working closely with our client groups and subcontractors and acting as an integral part of our projects team.

What You Will Do

• Assist and guide the project team with coordination and project support.
• Take pride in your ability to effectively review, interpret and update the construction schedules.
• Utilize your passion for organization through maintenance, review and follow-up of shop drawings, RFI’s, material purchase orders, change notice quotes and project completion documents.
• Effectively collect, review and analyze project quotes with emphasis on obtaining the very best prices in the market.
• Demonstrate leadership in Health, Safety and Environmental Protection on the project. Effectively apply the requirements of the project specific safety standards to promote Pomerleau’s HS&E standards, applicable OH&S acts, regulations and codes with all employees and trade partners on the project.
• Support in the maintenance and building of positive relationships with subtrades, clients and project stakeholders.
  
  

This role could be for you if you have

• Roughly 3+ years’ experience in the ICI construction industry.
• A University Degree/Technology Diploma in Engineering, or a combination of education and industry experience.
• Strong knowledge of construction project methodologies, financial management, building codes and associated legislation.
• A proven track record for project leadership and team collaboration.
• A passion for building and nurturing exceptional stakeholder relationships.
• The successful candidate MUST be eligible for a Government of Canada Secret level clearance.

The expected salary range for this opportunity is $84,000 - $105,000. Please note that salaries may vary depending on the candidate’s experience and geographical location. Listed compensation is exclusive of bonus and in addition to our extensive employee benefits program which is listed above. Availability of certain benefits may vary based on the specific job role.
